Semiotic interpretation of Andean and indigenous identities in Peru from the discursive practices of the Oncenio of Leguía
Keywords:

The aim was to relate the depersonalisation of Andean and indigenous identities to the construction of collective memory as a traumatic inheritance. The analysis took into account three texts that deal with the historical, social and cultural context of the Ocenio of Leguía, and which also reflect the historical opposition between Lima and the indigenous communities. To this end, it is recognised that collective memory is formes through constant representations and negotiations. Furthermore, discursive and enunciative practices can influence social opportunities as well as the reconstruction of citizenship. The analysis implied assuming the strong power of rhetorical representations to legitimise socio-economic and political aspects of a given period.
