Abstract
Comics & Memory in Latin America is a collaborative book that helps to understand the importance of the comic strip in the social, cultural and political processes of the 20th century. At the same time, it contributes to the little-worked field of studies on comics in all its possible forms (graphic novels, comic books, comic strips, etc.). Peru, although it did not have a The comics industry, unlike other countries such as Mexico or Brazil, did manage to articulate a large number of readers of imported comics from newspapers and comics. This situation was generalized in Latin America and the authors do well to make a brief history of comics in the region.
