Abstract

This essay explores the discourses about the Peruvian armed conflict enunciated by the young winners of the Comics for Memory and National Reconciliation Contest in 2016. Among these young people it is possible to identify two groups: a majority, who marks the end of the conflict when Abimael Guzmán was arrested, and a smaller group, who build bridges between historical confrontations and the current structural violence of the country. In addition, most of these stories present a dichotomous vision of the
actors of the conflict, where the civilian population is profiled only as a victim; however, some comics recognize the agency that the citizens had in several territories to resist the armed actors.
