Abstract

Almost thirty years after the end of the internal armed conflict, it has not yet been possible to integrate all the separate efforts that are carried out in it to achieve recognition of citizens as victims of political violence. As a result of this period, different groups and associations were formed that have fought in the political arena for social recognition of their violated rights. This task has not been easy because there is a lack of an integrating discourse and a common agenda, as each group has lobbied separately according to their own interests. Now it remains as a pending task for the State, to consolidate all the good initiatives for the achievement of a more just and egalitarian society, bridging the existing gaps among the population most affected by violence. Therefore, a national memory policy is required that serves as a basis for the formation of a more inclusive citizenship and to guarantee the respect and inclusion of the population whose rights were violated.
