About the Journal
Historia y Cultura, founded in 1965, is the annual historical research journal of the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology, and History of Peru (Ministry of Culture). It publishes studies of Peruvian and Latin American history, covering the pre-Hispanic, colonial, republican, and modern periods.
Historia y Cultura accepts original research articles written in Spanish or English, book reviews of recent publications that contribute to historiographical discussion, and notes of academic interest.
