Guidelines for Editing your Article
- General Layout
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12.
- Line spacing: 1.5.
- Alignment: Left.
- Indentation: 1.25 cm, except for the first line of each section.
- Margins: Standard (top and bottom: 2.5 cm; left and right: 3 cm).
- Page number: Times New Roman, size 11.
- Extension
- Articles: 10,000 words maximum
- Reports: 3,000 words maximum
- Posters: 200 words maximum
- Reviews: 2,000 words maximum
- Notes: 800 words maximum
- Obituaries: 500 words maximum
- Limits to figures and tables
- Articles: ten figures and three tables maximum suggested
- Reports: three figures and two tables maximum suggested
- Separation between sections
- Each section should appear on a separate page.
- Use 1.5 line spacing for all sections
- The acknowledgements should be written immediately after the end of the text, in the same page.
- The legends of the figures and tables should be loaded separately and submitted in a single file. Likewise, place them on a new page and insert the titles in sequence, without pagination.
- All the categories of titles and subtitles considered in the style guide must be used in the manuscript.
- All the parts of the manuscript must be arranged according to the style guide on the journal is based.
- Textual citations, references and notes
- Citations under four lines should be written as a part of a paragraph, in double quotation marks.
- At the end of the citation, cite the author, the year of publication and page(s) in parenthesis.
- If the quotation exceeds four lines, it should be isolated from the text and set off in a block with a 1.5 line spacing and 1.5 space up and down.
- References should begin on a new page.
- Notes should be placed at the end of the text and a new page, and written in Times New Roman size 11.
If the number of figures exceeds the recommended limit, an alternative is to create a composite image with smaller images. We suggest contacting the editor-in-chief to define the visual aspects of the images and keep the quality of the contribution.
The editors reserve the right to request the authors for reduction and edition of the manuscript when doing so would improve the publication.
