This article discusses the origins of the Paracas collection at the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology, and History of Peru according to the information gathered within its archives. The research entails the displacement and destination of funerary contexts, and the finding of funerary bundle 298, identified as the last first-category example to be studied at the museum 87 years after its discovery, within the “Paracas Funerary Bundle 298, Research and Evaluation” project.
